O is for Out of the Box

Scrapbooking Ideas

The ABCs of Simple Scrapbooking is a 26 week video series. In each episode, I’ll explore one fundamental idea of stress-free memory keeping.

O is for Out of the Box

I’ve relocated this week to help illustrate this week’s topic on stretching your boundaries and going outside of your comfort zone. So often we can get stuck into old routines and ways of thinking that can hold us back.

In this video I share some thoughts on how and why you want to look at the box you’re in and create a new/better box for the future. Being self-reflective about your memory keeping is one of my best secrets for staying happy and productive.

Thanks for the video. I have not watched all of them, but opened this one this morning and felt like you were talking directly to me! I am ‘stuck’ in the box of being a collector of scrapbooking materials! I need to get myself to my desk and start USING those materials that I so love to collect! Thanks for the nudge!

I enjoyed the video. I’ve seen my scrapbooking techniques change over time. I think with me, it depends on the subject that I happen to be scrapping at the time as to how my layout will turn out. I have also found recently that I’m enjoying hybrid scrapbooking and making more mini albums to feel like I’m completing projects instead of hoarding my layouts only on my hard drive.

OMG! You hit the nail on MY head with this one! lol Thank you!
I’m still defining what my box is that I’m stuck in but I’m determined to keep at it and overcome my procrastination.
