Video: December Daily Foundation

Scrapbooking Ideas

December Daily is an annual holiday project led by Ali Edwards. Memory keepers from all over the world come together to document December and the holiday season. I am one of them.

This will be my fourth year participating and third time completing a paper December Daily album. I did a collection of digital pages the first year, but quickly realized that I was missing out on some tactile fun. December Daily 2010 was one of my first experiments in paper scrapbooking and mini books. Needless to say, I was hooked!

This year I’m using one of my 2012 Holiday Kits from the Simple Scrapper shop. It was important to me that the kit be just the right size to make a full album but not be overwhelming or take a lot of time to prepare. I also wanted to include some of my favorite new products, like those from Crate Paper’s gorgeous Sleigh Ride line.

In this video I walk through my ready-to-go foundation. I spent just about an hour on it, beginning with just the kit, with little idea in mind of what I wanted to do. The only exception was that I knew the title would be “Merry” as I use this every year and that I wanted to use just one page per days 1-25 of December.

The Holiday Kit ships free to US addresses during November. Grab yours before they are gone!
