Size doesn’t matter. I’m a big believer in getting excited about every step – larger or small – that moves you forward. I believe in celebrating each victory like it really matters, because it does.
Every time I host a chat here at Simple Scrapper, we always start with the same question:
What victories are you celebrating right now?
This question sets the tone for the entire conversation, making baby steps feel momentous and challenges feel less intimidating. By focusing on positive action you’ve taken, you buttress your own confidence and create momentum for the next achievement.
From making a decision not to do something to placing an order for a new product that has you smiling, each little step you take in scrapbooking is worthy of celebration. Even thinking and planning in your head counts. It all counts!
What victories are you celebrating right now? Leave a comment so that we can all share in sending you a high five!
The Weekly Pep Talk shares one strategy to help you simplify scrapbooking and focus on what matters most.
The victory I’m celebrating right now is making time for scrapbooking. For so long, I struggled to find time for something so important to me, and right now, I’m setting aside Sunday mornings as my time to create. It’s working REALLY well, and I’m getting SO MUCH done! I’m excited, and I feel good in general spending that time doing something I love.
Yay, that’s so wonderful to hear Mel!
Thank you, Jennifer, for saying: “Even thinking and planning in your head counts.” I needed that! Now I am inspired to get in my scrapbook room and add some mini-letter stickers to a layout that has been on my desk for over a week. Then I can put it in the album 🙂 Your small, encouraging nudges inspired me to make big pushes in my creativity!
Thank you Barb. I’m so glad to help!
Thanks Jennifer! I love that these weekly posts are so succinct.
Me too Gab!
Hi Jennifer,
I am celebrating loving scrapbooking again. It has been a chore for a while now and I am enjoying playing. I subscribe to a great kit club (Cocoa Daisy) and I am working hard to let go of saving my favorite papers, embellishments and such and forcing myself to put them on the page and not wait for the perfect picture, layout or occasion cause a new box of goodies will be here in a few weeks. All of the sudden, I am having a blast. I am finding time to scrap, time to post and even blog. Happy Dance!
A million times yes! Happy dancing with you!
My victory is to be back scrapbooking after nearly a year of being unable to after surgery. I celebrate good health, walking unassisted and tossing that neck brace in the back of the closet. I have managed to do a plethora of page layouts so I do not have to take all my supplies to get togethers. I have been so inspired by Jennifer to plan and organize and I am full of ideas to get things done. Now I have to work on time management.
Congratulations Patty. This is an amazing success story!
i’m proud of myself for arranging my life to include creating moments because they make me feel more alive. Creating means designing new products or scrapbooking projects and i’m also being consistent on blogging the progress. And I want to thank you one more time because you’re part of this victory. Becoming member to the SS community helped me a lot. I have big plans now… a step at a time.
My pleasure Dani!
My victory is purging my scrapbook supplies, some tools to head a new direction in Digital Scrapbooking.
My victory is taking PL journaling cards with me on holidays, and actually USING them! A great start to my holiday mini book 🙂
Good for you Kay!
That must have felt so awesome Cathy!
