On the last day of each month I’m sharing a personal recap that will also be included in my Project Life album.
See more of my October on Instagram.
Around here she’s dressing up as Cinderella this evening.
Around here I’m kindling a love affair with Pinterest for the first time.
Around here I discovered the toasty, sweet greatness that is the Dunkacinno.
Around here we went to the pumpkin patch, bringing home grey, orange, and yellow.
Around here I’m feeling very relieved that a suspicious mole was benign.
Around here she has started to get a little sassy, which is sometimes really cute.
Around here I’m spending time noticing things I will miss about this house.
Around here I have a lot of mixed feelings about the changes at Big Picture Classes.
Around here we are making a lot of decisions about what is and is not clutter.
Around here I am working hard on planning an exciting 2015 for Simple Scrapper.
Around here I’m excited to connect with this community during Holiday Focus.
How did October treat you? I’d love it if you shared one highlight, challenge, or realization in the comments.
I spent a week in Florence, Italy – that’s a highlight for sure!
Most definitely!
Around here, October has been emotionally tough with a change of work and loss of focus.
Be gentle with yourself as you find a new routine, especially as this time of year can also add emotional toughness. Use baby steps and celebrate every small victory along the way!
around here, I think I may copy your idea
Yay, let me know if you do!
i got to spend a whole day alone with my 6 year old grandson picking “thr perfect Apple” at an awesome Apple orchard
That sounds awesome. I love how kids are so particular!
Around here….in October
We found a new restaurant in the neighbourhood that has great vibes and awesome food.
Around here we celebrated an anniversary. We looked at each other and said “Wow! Where did the time go?” Time goes fast when you’re having fun!
Around here I went on a trip and spent time living within a friends family. Knowing each other from an academic setting it was an intimate insight into the family side. My friend…she is “normal”. We are friends for a reason.
Around here I continue to explore landscaping opportunities in an environment I share with wildlife.
Around here we are getting real with our feelings.
Around here we are letting go of some technology and getting back to being us.
Around here the leaves are changing colours and are falling off the trees.
Around here we are lighting a fire on some evenings to warm our soul and bones.
So glad the mole was benign.
I know how hard it is not to laugh at a cute, yet sassy, toddler. Our little grandbaby is entering phase. Friday night she “shooshed” her daddy. How can you suppress a laugh at that?!
I cannot even remember October, if flew by so fast. Our grandbaby turned 2. I was in the hospital for asthma and had tests for some abdominal pain, but avoided surgery. My husband had surgery for a torn meniscus. Our Cardinals lost the NL Championship. I started the class CZ class; Me, the Abridged Version. I need to work on it and tons of other scrapbooking. Hmmmm….I think those are the highlights (or lowlights!) 🙂
Here’s to a thankful and more focused November and perhaps finding out what a Dunkacinno is. Excited for what you have in store for 2015!
Around here and away:
Attended my granddaughters’ first cheer competition.
Enjoyed having her visit for a week of her fall break.
Introduced her to scrap booking as we did a two page layout (which she positioned & journaled one) herself.
Enjoyed my grandson’s three day visit.
Took him to my husband’s alma mater’s football game.
Scrap booked two pages of his visit for him to take home!
Used up my credit at our local scrapbooking store. Now I have the needed supplies for any fall pages.
Did some fall gardening and loved every moment.
Harvested remaining herbs and am drying them for use and gifts.
Tackled some more piles of ‘stuff’ as I continue my quest to declutter.
Began to plan for Thanksgiving as family and dear friends are coming.
Looking forward to the most wonderful time of the year. The heartfelt thankfulness and joy of giving, not only tangible gifts, but also the simple gifts of love, understanding and caring are the core of this time of year for me.
Around here I am thankful for:
– my Dad’s continued recovery and success after having 2 heart attacks and a stent surgically installed. Both the cardiac visiting nurse and the visiting physical therapist have released him from care, leaving just the visiting transitional nurse to continue for awhile.
– my allergy/coughing to finally subside so that I can rest at night and am not wheezing every time I try to talk. After 4 rounds of antibiotics I finally feel close to ‘normal’.
– a friend who has the flexibility and dexterousness to wrangle my pc peripherals so that I can finally access my ehd’s, scanner and printer – woohoo!
– a good friend who reached out to help me during Dad’s hospital stays and kept me sane.
– Jennifer Wilson who gives me the inspiration to corral my stories simply and ways to keep motivated to scrap
– the entire Community at Simple Scrapper who makes me feel I belong
