Telling the Story with Words

Storytelling Ideas

wos_blog
As part of the Week of Story, I’m sharing three essential values I hold for storytelling through photos, words, and art.

Photos can tell so much story on their own, but so much meaning can be lost without words to preserve that story. Telling and sharing your stories in journals, hand-written notes, emails, and of course, scrapbook pages is how we communicate what matters most to us and preserve that for the future.

 Jennifer’s Essential Value #2

I don’t claim to be the best writer in the world and my scrapbook journaling is not always lengthy, but writing from my heart is so important to me. When I hear a scrapbooker  share “I never know what to say,” I want to just give her a big hug and reassure her that she does, she really does. YOU, out there, you know what to say. Your heart is full of all the memories and meaning behind the photos you are scrapbooking. Let that spill out, because I am 100% sure it is in you.
