The Art & Practice of Journaling free mini-course from Simple Scrapper offers a guided path to better scrapbook journaling.
The addition of words to a photo is the foundation, the bare minimum, of memory keeping. Without journaling you simply have photography. While photos capture moments in time, it is the words (and the decoration) that elevate and celebrate the memory.
This eight day mini-course is designed to help scrapbookers gain confidence in writing and will address two specific topics:
- The Habit of Journal-Keeping
- More Meaningful Journaling
Before we dive into the lessons, I want to explain my philosophy about journals. Like you, I have purchased and not used many a pretty blank book in my day. I set out with good intentions to finally keep a journal, and I get caught up in my own web of perfectionism.
The approaches I share in the first half of this course are not designed for you to write refined chronological memoirs. Instead, my intent is for you to learn how journal-keeping is a mode of practice for storytellers, an essential habit to improve the journaling in your scrapbook albums.
What a fun. Looking forward to it. Thanks for that topic.
This is a subject dear to my heart; looking fwd to the series and inspiration.
