In this bonus episode I’m sharing an observation that hits close to home. Change is in the air, yet we’re tentative. You’re invited to a special event on April 28 at 7pm CDT where we can start feeling grounded again, through our scrapbooking and memory keeping. Let’s move forward together!

Welcome to Scrapbook Your Way, the show that explores the breadth of ways to be a memory keeper today. I’m your host, Jennifer Wilson, owner of Simple Scrapper and author of The New Rules of Scrapbooking.
This is episode 166.
In this episode I'm sharing a few thoughts on fresh starts, post-pandemic life, and a big change at Simple Scrapper.
Well hello friends, it's just me today for this little bonus chat.
There's something I've noticed in my conversations as well as in the articles and blog posts and social media captions I've read. There's something I think we're all feeling: an odd, wobbly sense of new beginnings.
I see all of us in the messy middle of change and we're striving to recalibrate and feel grounded again.
When 2022 arrived, Omicron told our New Year's resolutions to hold my beer. It was a bit of a false start as the post-Delta days offered glimmers of hope.
And now we're all tentatively looking around and wondering "Are we good now?" We don't wear masks as much because no one else is. We're making plans and living life and actually going places.
And at the same time, we're carrying with us some very big thoughts and very big feelings from the past two years, along with the grief of personal losses.
Once we got past the quarantine memes and sourdough bread baking and Peloton purchasing and Netflix binging, there was a lot of new time and space to think.
Is this working? What do I actually want? Do I need to make a change?
For some of you those conversations with yourself and your loved ones led to dramatic shifts in jobs, relationships, and living situations.
For others it was more about subtle changes in lifestyle and leisure time. You maybe thought how how it might look to have more of this slow together time and quiet "me" time fit into your days in a more permanent way.
And now, well now you're trying to figure it out. Life feels busy and full. And as much as you're craving that sense of normalcy, these whispers of new possibilities, new opportunities, and new beginnings are making you feel a bit unsteady.
I wanted to share this today because I've felt it too. We're all craving a fresh start and yet the past two years have left us with more uncertainty, more hesitation, and way more comfy pants.
And so I thought it might be fun to turn over a new leaf as a group, to have a bit of a New Year re-do and find some footing for our creative hobby. We can't go back, so let's go forward together.
On April 28 you're invited to Start Fresh, a special Zoom event to help us all find clarity and connection around the future.
You've have a chance to chat with fellow participants about what kind of fresh starts you're craving or making.
I'll lead you through our newly-updated Focus Finder workbook, which I'll send to all for free. If you've got way more ideas and projects than time, this activity is for you.
And finally, I'll be unveiling a big new beginning for Simple Scrapper. This is a celebration for all of us and I'm sharing some secret details with those who register for the free event.
Head over to start.simplescrapper.com to RSVP for Start Fresh and learn more about how we're leaning into the cozy comforts of home to help us all stay grounded in the year ahead.
I can't wait to share it all with you. And until then, please remember that you have permission to scrapbook your way.
